IIDEXCanada and KAAJENGA launch IIDEXTV.com

Some of IIDEXCanada’s exciting programming was recorded on video last year by KAAJENGA, a dynamic, rewards-based learning platform that enables the design community to connect, learn and share valuable information and insight. Their pop-up television studio at the 2016 IIDEXTV & Innovators Pavilion was a useful portal to explore ideas from a cross-section of notable industry leaders. The broad spectrum of knowledge disseminated through KAAJENGA includes new methods of construction in everything from wood to concrete construction while providing industry insights through interviews or panel discussion formats incorporating project-based case studies, best practices and principles associated with the adoption of innovative technologies.

KAAJENGA has been committed to evolving the online video platform for several years. The live talk show during last year's show captured exclusive commentary and insights on over a dozen award-winning projects and industry innovations from notable designers Dermot Sweeny, Sweeny & Co. Architect; Pina Petricone, Giannone Petricone Associates; Celia Johnson, IBI Architects; Robert Sampson, WZMH Architects; Valerie Gow & Philip Hasting, Gow Hastings Architects; Paul Stevens, ZAS Architects; Chris Pommer, Plant Architect, as well as a cross-section of specialists in Roofing - George Vasallo, Bothwell-Accurate; Glass - John Carpenter, Clearstream; Mechanical - John Mackintosh, and Demolition - Kevin Mitchell, Mitchell Demolition.

As an educational platform, IIDEXTV allows users to watch or re-watch video segments at their convenience. Moreover, the platform, a secure virtual private network, allows viewers to share commentary and request additional information from trusted sources to enhance the interactive components of their service. And as an added incentive, IIDEXTV is providing new users with the opportunity to receive a coupon towards a free lunch—an incentive clearly developed to promote a learning model for designers and architects that is a new take on the traditional “lunch and learn program” currently offered by many manufacturers in today’s design offices.
