Join us at Interface's new showroom for a panel discussion on the collaborative aspect of design. Gain ideas on how to balance clients’ expectations with your and their vision and how to keep clients engaged and on-board with the original vision.

  • Chen Cohen
    Director of Interior Design, Moriyama & Teshima Architects

    As the Director of Interior Design at Moriyama & Teshima Architects, Cohen’s background in both Interior Design and Architecture, allows her to combine both disciplines in her holistic and detailed approach to every project. She has created interiors that span the design spectrum, from community facilities to residential towers; from academic buildings to corporate headquarters. Her national and international award-winning work is characterized by exceptional quality of light, careful material choices, innovative use of colour, and the selection of furnishings that work harmoniously to elevate the overall spatial experience of every building.

    Her recent interiors include the new corporate headquarters for Canon Canada in Brampton Ontario, the Qatar Faculty Club in Doha Qatar, as well as a myriad of major athletic and community facilities such as the Regent Park Aquatic Centre in Toronto. She is the recipient of five ARIDO Awards and five Canadian Interior Awards for her refined design and delivery of clean, crisp, and elegant contemporary interiors.

  • Chip DeGrace
    Chief Design Officer, Interface Inc.

    Chip DeGrace is the creative force behind the Interface and FLOR brands, serving as the corporate design conscience. As Chief Design Officer, Chip oversees creative decisions related to Interface’s global brand, and ensures that the quality of design participation inside and outside the company is as deliberate as it is inspiring. 

    Chip has held a number of senior management positions involving Interface’s creative design and brand, most recently as Executive Creative Director since 2012. Prior to that he was Vice President Creative for Interface’s consumer brand, FLOR. Before becoming part of the team that launched FLOR in 2003, Chip served as Vice President of Creative Strategies and Director of Brand Management for the Interface commercial brand. He previously worked as a commercial interior designer for the Chicago based firms The Environments Group and ISD. 

    Chip has a BFA from Northern Illinois University. He served as Industry Representative on the National Board of Directors of The ASID from 2004 – 2006. He was elected as an honorary Fellow for his work. He splits his time between Northern Michigan and the Chicago area with his wife Cynthia and their three sons.


  • Lisa Fulford-Roy

    Lisa Fulford-Roy is the Managing Director at CBRE and is responsible for leading the Workplace Strategy initiatives in Eastern Canada. With 22 years of experience in design and project leadership for many of Canada’s major corporations, Lisa’s leading-edge thinking and integrative approach to workplace strategy results in holistic client solutions with long-term benefits to the business, the brand and the employee experience.

    With vast knowledge and understanding of the commercial real estate market, Lisa has been a highly sought after consultant for leading projects across the industry, bringing with her a level of business development, workplace expertise and strategy which is simply unmatched.

    Lisa’s area of expertise is in facility and portfolio planning, occupancy strategy, workplace innovation and change engagement. She identifies opportunities and strategizes for change with the vision of the client’s enterprise in mind, further collaborating with occupants to develop innovative, business-aligned workplace strategies to improve workplace performance, employee engagement and the bottom line.

  • Barry Nathan
    Senior Associate, IBI Group
    B.Arch, OAA, ASID

    Barry has been a part of the management team practicing within the Interiors division with IBI Group for more than 12 years and has been drawing upon his background in Architecture designing projects for close to 25 years.

    His work has focused on complex interior architectural work for clients that are looking for innovative solutions. His leadership skills in guiding the project team through the complete process have provided clients with exceptional results and numerous awards both in Canada and the US. Commitment to design integrity and continuity of the project vision have been key elements to success, while maintaining a seamless architectural transition from inside out.

    Recent work includes the complete interior design of the new Halifax Convention Centre and adjoining commercial towers, which is currently under construction, numerous upgrades to buildings along the Yonge and St. Clair corridor, Sunlife Plaza Public Space Development in Calgary, and Capital One’s new North York Operations Centre. 

  • Colleen Baldwin
    Global Design Director, Scotiabank | Real Estate

    Colleen’s career began in design, where she found great satisfaction in creating beautiful, highly functional spaces for my corporate clients. Over 20 years ago, she was pleased to name Scotiabank among her valued customers, with highlight projects being the Eastern and Western Call Centres as well as many others. She went on to own and operate her own practice, comprising of 35-40 Design and Project Management professionals, for 20 years, where her main role was to assist clients with their overall Real Estate Strategy. They helped them make tactical decisions around Real Estate to support overall business objectives.

    She joined the Bank in November of 2013 with exactly this in mind. She is excited to support all their business unit teams in providing their customers with excellent service. Real Estate plays a very strategic role in this endeavor and her team is here to lead innovation and drive forward to help the Bank succeed in reaching all their cultural change and business goals. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Commercial Real Estate (MCR) designation, through Corenet Global.

  • Mahesh Babooram
    Manager, A&D Communities- Canada, Interface

    A lifelong design aficionado, Mahesh Babooram harbours a dream to one day to carpet tile the whole world. Mahesh lead's the go to market strategy for Interface to the A&D Community in Canada. Mahesh has been an active member of the design industry for the past 16 years. He has chaired or co-chaired and has been a part or currently a part of committee's such as:

    ARIDO GTA Chapter
    ARIDO Student Committee
    ARIDO Golf Committee
    ARIDO ROI Initiative

    In 2016, Mahesh received the Honorary Membership given to those individuals who, through  distinguished  service,  have directly  or  indirectly  contributed  to  the greater  recognition  or  betterment  of the Association, the interior design profession or the applied arts by the ARIDO Board of Governors.

    In his free time, you may find Mahesh striking out in baseball, missing a layup during a pickup game of hoops, or chasing his dog around town.
