About IIDEX
Change in Show Management Company for IIDEX Canada

On July 2nd, MMPI Canada Inc, the company that has been managing our trade show IIDEX/NeoCon Canada for the past 14 years was purchased by Informa. MMPI Canada was the owner of 50 trade shows in the design, construction, real estate, craft and arts industries in Canada. In addition, they have successfully managed our show under the leadership of Tracy Bowie as VP of the show. The change in ownership from MMPI Canada to Informa Canada was an internal management decision and had nothing to do with the day‐to‐day operations of the company or the shows that the company was involved with.
“It is very much business as usual for IIDEX 2012 on September 20 & 21 in Toronto”, says Susan Wiggins, Executive Director, “IDC will still own the show, we will maintain our longstanding relationships with the NeoCon shows and affiliated partners and associations and this year’s show is shaping up to be one of our strongest in many years and will be a sold out show for the first time in the past decade”. Trevor Kruse, IIDEX/NeoCon Canada Liaison and Susan Wiggins had the opportunity to meet with Will Morris, CEO of Informa Exhibitions and Steven Levy, the new President of Informa Canada upon news of the
potential purchase.
“Mr. Morris is very excited to learn more about our organization, our show and the potential for future growth” says Trevor Kruse, “We are very excited by the strength of Informa as a global company specializing in trade shows and feel that their expertise and strength in the marketplace can only elevate
our international reputation”.
As a result of this sale, IIDEX/NeoCon Canada will start the transition to the new name, IIDEX Canada.
